In class we talked about Cory Arcangel, a post conceptual artist who uses a variety of Medias such as drawing, sound, and video. He is best known for his video game modifications. Some examples of his work are Various Self Playing Bowling Games where he modified the game to throw only gutter balls. Another game modification he did was slow Tetris where he modified the game so that the blocks move slowly which took a game of Tetris 8 hours to finish. So for my project I decided to do interactivity by modifying a game myself using the programming language Lua. I decided to modify the game angry birds. My game is called Angry Teacher. I used Professor Jevbratt as my bird and students in place of the pigs. Arcangel likes to frustrate people with his work so I decided to do the same. I modified the game so that you couldn’t knock over the students and that you will lose every time.
