Interactivity:
Pont de l'Archeveche, Paris, in English it is commonly referred to as the "Love Lock Bridge". Though it doesn't have a single specific artist, this is by far one of my favorite interactive art pieces. A couple goes onto the bridge, signs their lock, then locks it onto the bridge. It usually ends with the couple tossing their key into the river. In his article, Huhtamo conveys that interactive art must be "hands-on" and physical. As numerous people lock their lock and toss their keys into the river, I would say this to be very interactive.

Database:
The million dollar Homepage created by Alex Tew is a database of websites, hyperlinks,
and advertisements. Manovich states that websites are typically filled with hyperlinks, text, and images and are therefore databases by nature. Using this reasoning, the Million Dollar Homepage is a perfect embodiment of a database in the form of a website.

Broken Down:
Minksy points out in his article that we as humans interpret the world in bits and pieces, each action we take can be sub-divided into many smaller actions. This Lego sculpture embodies this idea as the artwork is really complicated in its entirety, but in the end it's made up of nothing but simple rectangular legos.

For the software project I chose to do data visualization, the data used can be found here or can be downloaded as a spreadsheet here.

In my piece I wanted to convey the two sides of how modern companies are percieved; on top is what most people see, a grim scenery where each company is trying to be larger than the others. However, if you look at the reflection on the surface you can see that there is beauty in a company. A place where thousands of people work together to produce a product or service for the customer. I think this is lost when people see the income of these companies, people think that businesses are greedy and evil which is depicted with the forboding clouds and the black towers.
