Exploring Body Language and Human Emotion

For our software project, we played with how a user's interactivity created the work of art itself. We invited five people to come to our room for interviews. We told them it was for a class project and we were going to ask them very personal questions about their lives and beliefs. They sat across from Lucy and I, Lucy wrote down their responses while I asked the questions. We asked them the following questions:

Are you satisfied with your sex life up to this point in life? What would you change?
Have you ever been in love? What was that like?
What’s your biggest regret up to this point in life?
If you had the opportunity to get a message across to a large group of people, what would your message be?
What is the worst thing you have ever done to someone? What is the worst thing someone has ever done to you?
Can you think of the lowest point in your life off the top of your head?
What do you think happens when you die?
Do you believe in god? What role do they play in the universe – what do they look like what do they do?
Career?
If you could do anything with your life, what would it be? What is important to you in life – how you spend your time?
Read Syria passage and polar bear photo
Do you have a sense of compassion and well being for something other than your own well being?
Do you worry about climate change?
If you could give yourself one piece of high school advice?

While people were answering these very serious questions, we were secretly filming them. We then rewatched the footage and pulled out any similarities we could find in their body language. We also included some other interesting results we found.
