For the science project, I worked with Gabe Jacobs, Hope Curran, and Caila Baltas on this final project. We went to the "Last Lecture" by linguist professor Robert Kennedy. In that lecture, he talked about how languages can grow and change. He mentioned that because of the history of pidgins in the U.S. specific speech patterns that may seem incorrect from a strict English perspective are actually not any indicator of intelligence. I myself contributed a lot to forming the concept behind this project and it grew from there with the help and input from the other team members. I did all of the coding for the website and coordinated the content for it. I also wrote the Content section and was in charge of editing the Proposal before it went up.
