For my networking project I have decided to do the mapping assignment. One social media platform that I enjoy using is YouTube, and one thing that I find very interesting is that it has a very strong community between the popular channels. These original content creators support each other by subscribing to each others channels to bring them more exposure. For this mapping I will not just map the top subscribed channels, I will map the top subscribed channels that are run by the active content creator, meaning that I will not include musicians or TV channels. This map will randomly lay out the points of each Youtuber, resembling how cyberspace does not have distinct locations. I will then connect them through their subscription/related connections. This way we can see who are connected within the youtube community. Also the reason for ignoring the music channels and television channels is because they don't subscribe to other channels. I will also show the connection between the related channels within these top subscribers.
