The first article I choose was Valentino Braitenberg Vehicles: Experiments in the Synthetic Psychology, which talks about creating cars with varying sensors and motor possibilities. The beginning of the article discusses the idea of purification of the mind, which was a bit odd to me because the majority of the article talked about cars and sensors, but then it connects to psychology, which I guess is kind of interesting, but for me it was a bit of a stretch because motorized small cars do not have minds. However, this experiment was done to symbolize emotion and psychology, so it made sense but to me it was not a very clear way of explaining psychology, but at the end it worked. Basically, they explained 3 different vehicle options, one was titled Getting Around, a second called Fear and Aggression, and the third called Love. They use the sensors and the motors and the specific placement of the sensors and they describe their motion and relationship to the sensor and the power form the source to come up with the title.
For me it was kind of interesting to see how different aspects of the human condition, however, I do not think it was as interesting as the writers/creators had hoped.

The second article was by Gustav Metzger, titled: "Auto Destructive Art Manifesto." You could say that the titled was self explanatory to the article, as right from the get go the article began explaining a piece that was made using acid to corrode a piece of glass. This article then goes onto explain who practices this kind of performance art, and who the intended audience is for, and why people do it. This article does go into a few specific auto-destructive art pieces, which help the article explain why people conduct this type of art even further. This type of artwork is interesting in that it has kind of a paradox or oxymoron within itself, in that art is supposed to be creating something, not destructive, however one could argue that the artist does create the destruction in question.
