Cybernetic Oracle

Do Large Language Models produce the truth or technological hallucinations? Cybernetic Oracle invites visitors to use cartomancy to gain insight into their past, present and future with a deck of 78 tarot cards and a book of tarot card interpretations designed by the artist in collaboration with generative AI models. The symbolic nature of tarot cards to emphasize generative AI’s predisposition for archetypal representation. The work questions Large Language Models' understanding and interpretation of reality drawing parallels between querying a generative AI model for information and divination.
